Hello All,
My name is Les Gover from Australia and I have just joined the list, so I
thought I would introduce myself.
I'm trying to find information on my GG Grandmother's first husband Irish
Convict
Jerimiah Canty
Arrived 8/11/1849 from Dublin on the convict ship Havering he was tried in
Cork in 1848 and was sentenced to 7 years. His Ticket of Leave number is
49/960.
Jerimiah was born abt 1835 in Ireland and married Ellen Hogan abt 1858 in
Qld, Australia. They had two children John died 1/11/1858 in QLD and Matilda
born 16/1/1859 in QLD. Jerimiah died 3/6/1859 in Gladstone, QLD and was
buried in Gladstone Cemetery on 5/9/1859.
Unfortunately this is all I have on Jerimiah, would like to know more about
him and also find any information on his descendants through his daughter
Matilda. And also to verify my info is correct.
Cheers
Les Gover
