Great Idea!
Here tis!
1. EDMUND1 CANTWELL (ROBERTA) was born Abt. 1626 in Berkshire, England,
and died January 17, 1685 in New Castle County, Delaware. He married MARY
DE HAUS Abt. 1650 in New Castle County, Delaware, daughter of ROELFF DE HAUS
and GURTRURIE JACOBSON. She was born Abt. 1630 in Berkshire, England.
Notes for EDMUND CANTWELL:
Capt. Edmund Cantwell was first recorded as being Captain of one of the four
English ships that arrived in New York in 1644. In August of 1644 two of
these ships were dispatched to the Dutch Settlement, New Amstel (New Castle)
along the Deleware River. The estate of Gov. Alexander d'Hinoyossa was
seized and given to Capt. Edmund Cantwell. This begins the legacy of his
descendants in America.

Subject: [CANTWELL] Oldest Proven CANTWELL Ancestor.
Dear List Members,
A member on one of one of my lists sent me an interesting idea and I
think it would be fun.
Let's each of us post our oldest proven CANTWELL ancestor.
Post to the list at least the NAME, PLACE, and DATE. If you wish
you can also add names of spouse and children.
Remember this is the oldest PROVEN ancestor.
