Thanks for the reply on Charles. I think maybe I have figured out what my
problem is.
I have THREE Charles Cantrells, not two and I'm thinking one may be an error.
I have Charles the son of Isaac who must be the one in Rockingham in 1790 and
then later in Spartanburg.
Then there's the son of John. (Randolph Co, Burke, etc.)
Then Joseph has been given a son Charles, but it feels like maybe he didn't
actually have one. Notes on the Cantrell Cousins update say his will named
his children, but there is no transcript of the will and the notation giving
him the sons Charles and Joseph who reportedly married in Randolph Co
seems to be a separate notation from the one about the will. Is it possible
that that notation is actually referring to Charles and Joseph the sons of
John and that it was only speculation at one time that they belonged to
Joseph?
Thanks
Lou Ann
