>Adam Dale came to the Liberty area in 1797 from the Eastern Shore of
Maryland.
He built a mill and soon friends and family joined him. CANTRELLS
and BETHEL were also in this area ca 1800. Cantrell Bethel, s/o Sampson
Bethel and Mary Cantrell, was the first pastor of Salem Baptist Church,
1809. ( This was formerly Smith Co.TN, is now DeKalb.) We will be
celebrating 200 years of Liberty Friday evening and all day Saturday.
