Suzy, I really think the time for arguing over this has passed; a
simple request was made that's generated too much mail already.
The simple solution would be to do like all the other rootsweb lists
we're on (at least 20 in my case) and have the name of the list - in
this case, CANTRELL - why make it any harder than it need be?
I personally do NOT want to be on ANY digest list or I'd have signed
up for it ... and this particular issue still will not be resolved
with the digest, because no matter how many messages are received at
once, it still doesn't solve the problem we're discussing.
Let's just get back to posting about the families we're searching for -
in my case, it's:
Richard CANTRELL b 1650 m 1693 Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA
Dorothy JONES ...
Joseph CANTRELL b 1680 m in Holy Trinity Church, New Castle, Lawrence,
PA

Fellow researchers, there is a simple solution to the problem of not seeing
Cantrell on incoming mail, also to the no subject problem. Simply subscribe
to the Cantrell Digest list, so several messages are received at once and it
is clear they are from Cantrells. Then, you can unsubscribe from the main
list.
Please go to the Rootsweb site for instructions on how to do the above.
Whether or not a person is computer savy, it just makes sense to use the
subject line to answer any or all of these questions: who, what, when and
where. More people would be interested in reading messages that might
pertain to their families.
