My Back has kept me from Bowie County research But it is on my list to do. Though I have
been unable to link the Cantrell's of that county to mine I feel it is quiet
coincedental that my Cantrell's moved to Navarro Co and back to Hunt Co. They also
have some family members missing on the AR census where they are located prior to the
move. I will try to locate another Bowie Co. Cantrell researcher in my address book and
help the two of you connect.

My mother was a Cantrell, daughter of Tillman McAdams Cantrell in Bowie Co. TX. I have
another Jones line beginning in SC in 1764. I know it is unlikely, considering that there
are jillions of Jones but I thought there might be a connection.
An interesting thing I found was that Margaret McAdams's (who married Thomas
Cantrell about 1800) father, James McAdams had his will witnessed by Champion Langford
whose daughter Elizabeth married Robert M. Jones in St. Clair Co SC. Elizabeth and Robert
M. Jones were my ggrandparents on my father's side.
Sometimes the smallest clue will get you started on a whole new idea.
