Hello Folks,
I will work at compiling all the information that I have gleaned from the
last two days posting in regards to these families. They may be the link and
ties that I have needed to help further my research on the Cantrell and Cox
families. Everyone mentioned are within 4 generations of my direct line. It
will take a few days to get it all added to my program but as soon as I can
it will be posted.
Sherry, It looks as if we are possible double 6th cousin's.
Bev, It appears that your family moved into and along parallel migration as
mine. I believe we are 4th or 5th cousin's but want to verify that before
getting too excited.
The information highway is great for those of us who have to travel 100
miles or better to a library with source material!! Thanks for sharing and
let's keep the communication lines open on this. The Alabama, Arkansas and
Texas information has been great!! Funny how the same families moved within
a few counties of each other yet here we are 100 years later looking for our
family ties.

In 1830 his father Charles Cantrell Jr. was in Lafayette Co MO p.255 Same
page as William Cox
It appears that his father Charles Sr. was also in the household.
Males 1- 80/90, 1- 40/50, 1 under 5
Females 1 - 30/40, 1- 10/15, 1- under 5
This would be Charles and Naomi, their children Elihu and Nancy Jane plus
grandpa Charles. The female 10-15 is not known, likely a cousin or other
household helper with the young children.
This Charles might still be in Jackson Co., MO or could have made the
temporary move to Crawford Co AR with that Cox family. He did not go with
brother James and father Charles Sr. to Sevier Co AR in 1840. Not in that
census with them.
