Teri,
I don't have any idea what email program you use, but in
my Outlook Express there are 2 places to click on icon says
"reply" and on my setup there is a second "Reply All", this
one sends one to original sender and one to the list.
Perhaps your icon has not been selected to show on the bar??
Or perhaps i've mis-understood your question??
You should get an email from me and also read it on the
CANTRELL list.
Jim

I wish I knew! I'd love to have an old photo like
that turn up!
I'd forgotten I was even *on* this list. I have to say
that I don't understand why, on a list where you want
to share information, the replies go only back to the
person who posted, unless you make an effort to send
it to the entire list. I just don't get that. :)
The slowest lists I'm on are the ones that are set up
like that. It's simply harder to get discussions going
and some people don't even know *how* to change
the address from the person to the list address. I'm
not saying that's a bad thing, it's simply reality... not
everyone on these lists is computer-savvy. Having
one more hurdle for them to jump over just makes
it harder.
If someone thinks they might possibly have a con-
nection to another and are going to add more names
and dates to the discussion, there is no reason that
information shouldn't all be done *on* the list. If
there is *any* new information, people need to *see*
it. Not only the person who thought there might be
a connection, originally, but the entire list. That's
what these lists are for.
I truly don't understand what the benefit of having
it go only to the original poster is. Is it difficult to
set a list up that way through Rootsweb??
I hope the list admin. will consider changing it. :)
Is there any place where you can upload photos
where only the members of this list could view it?
Maybe you could do that with the photo, Jeff?
Sorry to jump into a rant here; I'm off my soap-box
now. :)
Have a wonderful day!
Teri
