There are people who have been studying this longer than me, but I fear that
the lineage you quote is simple fantasy. Or, at best, wildly exuberant
speculation. It looks like someone has taken some known historical
Cantrells and pasted them together as a wish.
I think that Henry (1616) s/o William (1580) refers to William Cantrell of
Jamestown and Henry Cantrell of early Virginia. Christie speculated that
they might be father and son, but I have read that there is more recently
discovered documentary evidence from the tobacco trade showing that these
two were brothers.
As far as I know the farthest back the main American lineage can be pushed
with current, known, documentary evidence is Richard born in 1666, son of
Richard of Bakewell Parish, Derbyshire, and even that is not a proved
connection to Richard of Philadelphia, though I think it is fairly likely.
Did you ask the author where they got their info? The internet is both a
glory and a curse.
