Hi,
If anyone on the list has info. on the State of Georgia Cantrells, please
email me. My gg grandmother was Georgia Cantrell Wilburn, and she is listed
in the Rabun County censuses of 1880 and 1900 (she married George W. Wilburn).
Georgia was born in the 1850's in GA, and I am looking for the name of her
parents. Georgia was 1/2 Cherokee Indian, so if I could find her parents'
names, then I would have the name of my Cherokee ancestor (something I've
always wanted to know). Georgia died sometime between 1900-1910 I believe,
and her siblings were a John, Fannie, and Julie I believe. One more
important thing: her 1877 marriage record lists her as Georgia A "Cantrel"
(one "l" instead of two).
If any of this rings a bell, please email me. Thank you.
Rusty Godfrey
