Hopefully this works with the cc: to the other websites for my three
families. My three families go like this and I would love to hear from
anyone who can expand on any of these families:
Jackson: John Jackson b. Nov. 8, 1807 in Anson Co. NC who's parents were
Jesse Jackson and Deliah Meader, married Temperance Ann Henry Dec. 20, 1827
Anson Co. NC. Temperance was born Mar. 26, 1809 in Anson also. They
migrated to Dublin, Montgomery Co. Alabama. John had a brother named Lewis
who went with him. John and Temperance's children: Philip Henry, Sarah Ann,
John Kirby, Jesse Lewis, William Lewis, Lou Ellen, Benjamin B., Andrew
Jackson, Emily Jane, James Francis, and Joseph Birch.
Their daughter Sarah Ann Jackson married Henry Curry in Montgomery Co. Al in
Sarah's fathers home, by Lewis Jackson justice of the peace, 1847. Sarah and
Henry's children: Sarah J., John Cary, Louisa E., James H., Ellen L., Milton
Lee and Temperance Ann.
Henry Curry's parents were Ellen/Ellender/Nellie Moore born MD in 1793. I
believe she had a brother Jacob. Henry's siblings I believe were Tempy,
Ebenezer, Sherod, possibly Isaac, or James. There were possibly 5 children.
Henry's father's name I have been told is Cary Curry. All the census say he
was born in Georgia. I did find a Cary Curry married Nellie Moore Baldwin
Co. GA 1812. I have info suggesting they moved to Conecuh, and Pike Co AL
before Ellen settled in Montgomery Co. AL with her children. Some of the
information I have is Cary died in 1825 in I believe Pike Co.
After the war Henry and Sarah Curry migrated to Webster Co. Missouri. Their
youngest son Milton Lee married Rebecca Pauline Cantrell. Rebecca's parents
were John J. Cantrell b. SC and Didania born Tennessee. Their children were
James, William, Margaret, Rebecca, John, and Mary. In the 1870 Webster Co.
census there was a 20 yearold woman living with John and Didania who was
going to school her name was Jane Rowe? This may have been a sister of
Didania.
Milton and Rebecca's children were John H., James J., Fannie M., William.,
Sarah D., Clarence L.. Lena F., and Orval Milton. Orval (Bud) was my
grandfather, b. Aug. 3, 1900 in High Prarie, Missouri.
Thanks for reading this long message and any help would be greatly
appreciated.
