YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Raymond C. Canton, 77,passed away early Thursday morning, June 20,
2013.
He was born July 5, 1935, in Youngstown, Ohio the son of Carl and Angela (Cmil) Canton.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army.
Raymond was employed at R.C. Cola for 12 years in Quality Control, Station Manager with
Lyden Oil for 11 years, five years with Fonderlac Country Club in Greens Maintenance and
seven years with the Youngstown Public Library as a Security Guard.
He was a member of St. Luke Parish.
Raymond enjoyed wine making, gardening and riding his Harley.
He will always be lovingly remembered by his wife, the former Patricia Harkey, whom he
married March 13, 1976; three children, Denise Canton of Youngstown, Raymond (Maria)
Canton of Pottstown, Pa., and Michele (James) Gomori of Boardman, OH; five grandchildren,
Jennifer, Anthony, Monica, Michael (Abby), and Matthew; a brother, Eugene (Judy) Canton of
Fort Mill, S.C.; and a sister, G. Marie (James) Agues of Warren, Ohio.
Besides his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Canton.
Friends may call on Monday, June 24, 2013, from 9 to 11 a.m. at St. Luke Church prior to
the Mass.
The Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman, Ohio has been
bestowed the honor and privilege of handling the services for Raymond.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013, at St. Luke
Church in Boardman
