I have my Canteys back to Teige, but I have
nothing on Teague in Ireland. Would love to hear
more about this.

Hi,
I am also researching the Teague Cantey line. Questions I
have are:
James M. Cantey b. after 1748 (s/o John W. and Mary McGirt),
d. 09 Oct. 1817 GA. Was he married to Catherine Wiggins or
was his son William?
children John and William went into the army and came out
with their names changed to CANARY according to the Ivan
Canary manuscript. Is this true? Is there anyway to verify
this?
John Cantey b. before 21 Oct. 1678 SC, d. 1724 SC, m. (unk)
Childs, Margaret (unk), Mary (unk), Ann (unk). Did he also
have a Catawba wife? Is there any Native American ancestry
in the Cantey/Canary family? Have seen the surname
connected with the Catawba reservation.
