Thanks for your quick reply. I appreciate you input. My Canter family is
really tight lipped also. My grandfather and grandmother died in 1918 and
the adoptive parents of my dad did not talk about it at all. I know what
you mean no records.

None of those names are at all familiar. The Canter side of my family
originally settled in Boston and in Canada (Quebec province).
Good luck with your research - I wish I could trace my own roots beyond
my Grandparents but no one ever talked much, and records are probably
non-existent.
