Will dated Jan 13, 1848. Rec. July 18, 1848. Examined July 5, 1848.
Exr: Wife, Mary Cannon. Wit. Samuel T. Myrick, William Eating, George
Sebzburn.
Lived in Newberry Dist. Sis., Mary Wicker and her children. viz. Adam,
William, J.H. Epting. Elizabeth Boyd, Anna Lake, D.L. Wicker, Sarah
Seltzler, S.V. Wicker.
Bros., Samuel D. Cannon dec'd, David M. Cannon. "It is my will that D.
L. Wicker be the adviser of my Exrs. ment. within the bounds of
Newberry District. My will that B. B. Jordan be the adviser in
Abbeville District. A paper ment. that Jacob Seltzer and John S or L
Hutchinson were heirs of said deed. Jacob Setzler was a son of Sarah
Setzler dec'd. John Hutchison was a son of Anna Hutchinson. Dated
July 19, 1850 Mary Wicker died in the spring of 1849. Adam Epting her
admnr. Children of William Cannon a brother who died many years ago,
and from there moved off not known where to. Children of Samuel D.
Cannon who died about 10 years ago in Newberry Dist. Elizabeth wife of
George Sligh both living in Newberry, Nancy B. wife of Cook of Laurens
still living, David Cannon in Fla abt. 21, Harrison Cannon in Newberry
abt. 15, Preston Cannon in Newberry abt. 12. Children of Thomas Cannon
died in Newberry about 6 years ago leaving Levina a minor abt. 16 in
Newberry, Children of Anna who married Hutchinson died many years ago 20
or 25 leaving children Nanch wife of William Folken of Folker in
Newberry.
CANNON, LUCINDA JANE - BOX 114 PACK 3361
On Jan. 19 1850 Lousia, Sarah, Thomas W. Pace bound unto David Lesly
ord. Abbeville Dist. sum $2,000. Lousia Pace was guardian of Lucinda
Jane Cannon a minor. Lousia Pace sheweth that sometime in 1849 Silas
Pace died without wife or children., but a mother and brothers and
sisters and a child of a dec'd sister viz. Lucinda Jane Cannon of H. or
W. Cannon and wife, the mother of the child Mrs. Cannon being dead.
That she said Lucinda Jane is entitled to a share of the estate of
Silas Pace dec'd. and that she is a minor of about 3 or 4 years old.
Sett. made Oct. 29, 1856 of Lucinda Jane Cannon in hand of Aiken Brazeal
and Louisa his wife former guardian and Philip Cromer present
guardian.
