My Mary Polly CANNON married John CHAMPION. John died in Washington County,
Kentucky in 1811 but Mary migrated with her family to Crawford County,
Indiana and then to Knox County, Illinois. She is buried there in the Rice
/ Blue Cemetery in Watauga, Illinois.
Did any of your CANNON families come from Pennsylvania into Kentucky,
Indiana and Illinois? Maybe we all have a connection. See my outline below

The only info I have on Edward Cannon prior to La Salle county circa
1850s is unsubstantiated info passed on to me he was born in PA in 1819.
Have fairly solid evidence he married a Julia Manville in La Salle
county. Her family was from NY and she was born there based on
subsequent info I've come across.
Believe scenario is that the Isaac Manville family, Julia being a
daughter, migrated from NY to La Salle county, where Julia met and
married Edward Cannon. Based on surnames, first names and census takers
interview sequence in 1850 La Salle county census, it appears the Cannons
lived on a farm that was adjacent to the Manvilles. Sometime after the
census both families went west; the Cannon's via Iowa City, IA (length of
time unknown but child was born there) to NV (length of time probably
several years) and then to CA. Isaac & his family appear to have gone
directly to CA.
Ring any bells?
