This note is in response to the posting by Amy E. Garber <aegarber(a)cvinet.com>
I have information which relates to the ones in her ggg uncle George W.
MELTON's book. They may be related to the line of Simcock CANNON (my line and
Amy's). If anyone knows more about these Cannons, please advise us. They may
be descendants of a Richard Cannon or a William Cannon, either of whom could
have been a brother of Simcock's son Russell (born in the 1750s, lived in VA,
NC, later Greenville District & Pickens Co., AL). I am posting 2 sets of
