In the recent listings you mentioned a Joseph Thatcher Cannon. I also have a
Great-Great-Great-Grandfather named Joseph Thatcher Cannon. Born in Ohio in1814.
His father was Abraham Cannon who was killed by Indians in Illinois territory
in1825. The family split up with my J.T. Cannon being carried for by relatives
named Hathaway. As far as I can determine his mother moved to Indiana near Porter
to be with her family. J.T. Cannon later married became a methodist minister
and moved to Nebraska territory in 1850. I have detailed history of the rest of
his life.
