I wonder if this Benjamin could be a brother to my James Cannon, b. abt
1797/98, of Laurens Co, SC. He had a son named Benjamin, b. abt 1845. His
son Nathan was my gr grandfather and he also named a son Benjamin. In fact,
most of his sons were named after his uncles - John, James, Benjamin,
William, and Capers/Capus. One of his daughters was named for her Aunt
Jane.
I think James1 Cannon's father was William Cannon who was on the 1790
Laurens Co., SC census, but I can't find anything out about him. I do
not recall seeing your Benjamin listed anywhere in SC, but will watch for
him now.

Subject: [CANNON] BENJAMIN CANNON
Hello List,
I am searching for the ancestors of BENJAMIN CANNON b 1786 in SC. He died
in 1862.
Married Nancy CAMRON in circa 1816 in ILL.
She was born in 1801 in Kentucky and died 1870. They had 6
children--MAHALA, JAMES, ARMINDA, SUSANNA, THOMAS AND JOHN.
If anyone has information about BENJAMIN CANNON and his ancestry I would
appreciate
hearing it.
Thank You,
Roselyn George
