from you again. yes James is listed as a Revolutionary War Patriot, in Hardin,
Shelby, Ohio, and his sons claimed his Pension. I have been trying to get his
Pension application record and his Military record as well. To no e vale
unfortunately. here is what I Have.;
James came to the Colonies at age 15 years old, so he was born about 1759
in Ireland, he was 17 years old when he Joined our patriots. So he came to the
States about 1774 was a Tanners apprentice for 2 years then joined the
Revolutionary War, in about 1776. In 1780 He married Mary "Polly" Long in
Shermans Valley, Perry, Pennsylvania. then he is found on 1790 census in Salem,
Westmoreland, Pennsylvania. in about 1795 James and Family moved to
Ohio, around Miami County and Shelby County, Ohio where he is in "Pioneer
Cemetery" which is Carey Cemetery, Hardin, Shelby, Ohio; Shelby
County Genealogy Society tells that James Cannon, Revolutionary War Veterans
Headstone is buried beneath the Sidewalk ; And James lived in Turtle
Creek, Shelby, Ohio.

Well this is what I have found so far. I hope I can get his application
with this, and his Military Record. I have sent $15.00 twice to different places
in Pennsylvania trying to get his Records and have only spent the money with no
further help. So PLEASE if anyone has some helpful suggestions I am very willing
to try as I need to find James Parents and Siblings as well as Mary Longs.
