EDWARD CANNON(*)
Edward Cannon was born about 1600, in Yorkshire England. He married to Ann
(Surname Unknown) before 1639. Together, with two children, they were
transported to Lower Norfolk County Virginia in 1646. They’re
transportation was provided by Edward Hall, with whom Edward had a
business partnership. He also seem to have been in business with Thomas
Allen, who appears to have been a sea captain, while Edward Cannon was a
merchant. Edward Cannon’s wife Ann died, soon after arriving in Virginia.
About 1653, he then married his maidservant Sarah (Surname Unknown). He
died before 1673, and she died after 1680.

Edward Cannon, Jr. was born about 1656, in Lower Norfolk County Virginia.
He was the son of Edward Cannon and his second wife, and former
maidservant, Sarah (Surname Unknown). Before 1683, he married Sarah Dawley
(Dolley?), daughter of Dennis Dawley (Dolley?) and his wife Sarah (Surname
Unknown), of Bath County North Carolina. Edward Cannon, Jr. died in Bath
County North Carolina about 1729. His wife Sarah died in Beaufort County
North Carolina before 1733.

David Cannon was born about 1702, in Bath County North Carolina. He was
the son of Edward Cannon, Jr. and his wife Sarah Dawley (Dolley?). Prior

1747, apparently from childbirth complications.

Henry Cannon was born August 23rd 1732, probably in Bath County North
Carolina. He was the son of David Cannon and his wife Frances (Surname
Unknown). Prior to 1757, he married Mary Mitchell, who was born February
7th 1740 (Probably in North Carolina). She was the daughter of William
Mitchell and his wife Mary (Surname Unknown).
Henry Cannon and his brother David were Privates in the North Carolina
Militia, during the Revolutionary War.
Henry Cannon died about 1797, probably in Duplin County North Carolina.
His wife Mary died on April 8th 1792, probably in Duplin County North
Carolina.

in 1817. John and Sally were my Great Great Great Grandparents.

My Everett Cannon was born in North Carolina in 1814. He married Nancy A
(Henderson) ? also born in North Carolina. Could we be from the same
line? My Everett settled in Tallapoosa County, Alabama and I found him
there with Eldred Cannon.
