Jewelle,
I descend from Thomas Cannon's brother Edward, Jr. I have their birthdates
as about 1655. I have some info on their other siblings, and would be glad
to swap info.
Some of the stuff, I've got, is as follows: (Please let me know if it
coincides with what you have.) Edward Sr. born in Yorkshire England, about
1600. Married Ann (surname unknown) about 1639. Had two children....Ann
and Stephen (both of these siblings appear to have died in Somerset County
Maryland about 1700) In 1646, the family was transported to Lower Norfolk
County Virginia, by Edwar Hall. Sometime after arriving in Virginia, wife
Ann died.
Edward seems to have been a merchant, in partnership with sea captain Thomas
Allen. ( I have a copy of a Land Patent for 540 acres, they received for
transporting 12 people into the colony, dated 1652.) Sometime around 1653,
Edward married Sarah (surname unknown). (One source says that she had been
his maidservant.) Edward and Sarah had the following children: Edward Jr.,
Thomas, Dennis and probably more. Edward died before 1673, and Sarah died
after 1680.
As I said earlier, let me know if this coincides with your findings.

Subject: [CANNON] Cannons in Philadelphia
> THOMAS CANNON in Philadelphia, PA is my brick wall. He is my great
grandfather, married Anna Reinhardt sometime before 1895. Their children
were WILLIAM, JOHN, GERTRUDE AND ANTHONY. I find no evidence of him
anywhere, other than listed as deceased on his children's marriage
licenses.
I find the family living in St. Anne's Parish in 1920, but
nothing prior
that. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone??
