BERNADETTE R. CANNON
Bernadette Roesch Cannon, 70, died Aug. 28, 1999, in Chesapeake
General Hospital.
She was born in Norfolk and lived in Virginia Beach. She was a member
of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by
her daughter, Patricia Cannon Jones.
Mrs. Cannon is survived by her husband, Lewis E. Cannon Jr. of Virginia
Beach; seven sons, Tim, Lewis, James, Terry, Robert, all of Virginia
Beach, Kevin of Moyock, N.C., and Dennis of Chesapeake; two brothers,
Alfred Roesch Jr. of Albany, N.Y., and Gordon Roesch of Norfolk; three
sisters, Mary Jo Wooten of Norfolk, Frances Sherman of Virginia Beach and
Jane Allen of Moyock; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in St.
John the Apostle Catholic Church, where a Mass of the Resurrection will
be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow in Colonial Grove
Memorial Park. The family requests that memorial contributions be made
to the building fund of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 1968
Sandbridge Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.
