Thomas CANNON was in Kalama as early as 1872,
mentioned in the Probate records of Benjamin DAVIS.
According to the 1880 census, Thomas CANNON was then
52 years old, born in Ireland, and was a dairyman.
Thomas CANNON made his will when he was 57 years old,
on 25 Jan. 1891 Vancouver, Washington State, leaving
half of his estate to the Sisters of Charity, of the
House of Providence. The remaining half of his estate
was to be divided equally among his three brothers,
Francis, Bernard, and Philip, and his sister, Jane,
should any of them come forth to claim it.
In the 1870 census in Portland, Multnomah Co. OR,
Francis CANNON, 21, occupation listed as "Clerk. Med.
Director" is listed in the household of Samuel
WARMPOOL, 47, born in Missouri, occupation listed as
Printer. This Francis was born in Ireland, about 1849
about 16 years younger than Thomas.
Thomas CANNON died at age 62, and is buried in
Vancouver, Clark Co. Washington.
The death certificate for Bernard CANNON, b. 11 May
1832 Ballymichill, Ireland - d. 11 Sept. 1924 Baker,
Baker Co. Oregon, names his parents as Patrick CANNON
and Bridget BOYLE. The informant is Bernards niece,
Anna CANNON, of Odessa, Lafayette Co. Missouri. This
is probably the same brother Bernard who is mentioned
in the will of Thomas CANNON of Kalama.
