Anna,
I have no idea of his middle name. I am not familiar with the fenalon
cannon of Virginia and Kentucky. Can you provide more information on this
family. I have examined most of the Cannons of Fauquier, Prince William and
Princess Anne Counties we well as the Richard Cannon of Monogahela (sp)
County. Thank you for responding!
Holly

My John F. Cannon is born 1805 Virginia. He lived in
Frederick/Warren
County Virginia. He moved 1855 to Wood/Wirt/Ritchie County, West
Virginia.
He is located in these census from 1840 to 1880. The 1880 census
indicates
he was born in Virginia as were his parents. He does not own land,
although
he posts a $5,000 bond in 1845 to be involved in the Postal Service.
He
did
have two routes that go from North Carolina to Frederick County
Virginia.
If anyone has a missing John Cannon son from around this time, I would be
grateful for any hints to help.
Holly

Hello,
I was just thinking of how many of us have John CANNON brick walls.
How about if each of us with a mysterious John CANNON brick wall
posts theirs. Maybe we will be able to link some who moved between
states or geographic regions.
My mysterious John CANNON crops up in Ascension Parish, Louisiana @ 1850
married
to Catherine MAURIN. I suspect he was in Maryland, Massachusetts or
Mississippi
in 1850, because his son, Thomas, was born there in one of these places
1849--but cannot read
census enumerator handwriting.
