These are the notes I have in my Family Tree Maker on Robert CANNON and his wife,
Elizabeth (last name unknown)
This Robert was born about 1752 and were married about 1772. The name "Robert"
was carried down through the generations and two of the Roberts went to Illinois.
Could you all take a look at the deeds listed below and see if there is any connection to
your family? My line went to Knox County, Illinois and the brothers named
"Robert" also went to McDonough County, Illinois so you can see where (below) it
mentions a "Robert in Illinois" it peaked my interest! Any little tidbit of
information will be appreciated!
Thanks, Janice Lund

Maxine:
Here is what I found in Caldwell County, Kentucky. I am pasting it in it's entirety
so you can all see the various names connected to these deeds. Maxine, you will be in
"Deed Heaven" with these. My question is this:
WHY would a Robert CANNON of Illinois be named if there was NO connection to these other
CANNONs......very interesting indeed!!!!!!
Where is Caldwell County in relation to Washington and Mercer Counties, Jane? There is
even a "Rosannah" named but her last name is Gray and I think it's just a
coincidence.
Anybody see any "family" connections?
