Kathy,
I remember you quite well. You sent me some of the correspondence of Mattie.
I have been wanting to get to Georgetown but I cannot get off from school
right now to take a personal day. I remember we are both in the school system
and you know how that goes. If we are off "IT must be a holiday" and the
libraries are closed. I am also serving jury duty right now. Our last day before
Christmas break is the 19th. Hopefully I can get a free day before Christmas
to go. I will check with them about Matties work and ask if anything is in
their holdings. Is there anything else I can check for you? By the way William
B. and Elizabeth are my gr. gr. gr. grand parents. Elvessa Canon Calvert is
my Gr. Gr. Grandmother. We are kin through Elvessa's brother I believe. Did I
ever send you the information on the Cannon Family from the book "Echoes Of
The Past" Stamping Ground, Kentucky 1775-1975? It was sponsored by the Stamping
Ground Women's Club. They also raised the money to buy the building and
created the Stamping Ground Library. The first Library was destroyed by the 1974
tornado that about flattened Most of Stamping Ground. They had just paid it
off and burnt the note about a week before the tornado hit. They have since
acquired another building to house the Library. I also want to check there.
Keep in touch. Take Care, Joyce
