Subject: [CANNON] Attn: Perry
Hi, Perry, I have been thinking about something and would like to
research
it
further with you. You said that you were named after your
grandfather, if
I
remember right. I don't know what generation you are in, but
that would
put
the given name, Perry, back to perhaps the 1860's or so.
I have a Perry CANNON in Caldwell Co., KY. He was b. in SC 1800 according
to
the 1850 census. Died during the Civil War. Actually his given name
was
Perryman, but in the census he used Perry. Since this is not a very
common name I
think we should try and see if there is a connection between our
lines.
Also,
we should keep our correspondence on the list as others might benefit
from
it.
Here is my line:
John CANNON was in SC for the births of 4 kids: Naomi, Jemima, Israel
(1795)
