Lucy,
I am thinking in my research of SC Cannon's (mine are all upstate), there
was a John Cannon with a daughter named Sally who had died in Charleston in
the late 1700s.
I will see if I can locate my notes in my Cannon files and get back with
you.

Subject: [CANNON] Mrs. H E Cannon, Charleston
I have Mrs. H.E. Cannon buried March 12, 1880 in Magnolia Cemetery in
Charleston. She was 85 years old and born in Charleston. Does anyone know
anything about her? I am getting desperate! She is buried in the lot with a
Walter Cannon who was buried Dec 1, 1881 at age 59; born in South Carolina.
He is really Jeremiah Walker Cannon. His death cert says he was in
Charleston for 49 years. Where did he come from?
