What seems like a hundred years ago, (but can actually only be somewhere between 30 and
35) - when I was very new to genealogical research - I spent every day off in the
Archives; every vacation traveling to "away" courthouses and cemeteries. In
those early days, I cared almost nothing about citing sources because I never thought I
would be so old someday to forget where I found each little tidbit of information. Little
did I know! I also never believed that anyone in the world other than me would have any
interest in my little scribbles of notes on whatever scrap of paper was handy at the
moment.
In cleaning out my Kendrick files today, I found these pasted below, and, yes, you guessed
it - I can't remember where I was prowling/digging when I made them. Does anyone on
this list recognize these entries, and can anyone tell me their source, as in
County/Minutes Book and page number? Some seem to make hardly any sense at all, so I need
to do yet another round of "re-do" to make sure my interpretations are basically
correct and that the source is properly cited.
Thanks!
