Hi, List: I sent my William Cannon information in some time ago. Thought
you might be interested, if you haven't discovered it already, that there
were no less than 138 Cannon households listed in the first census in 1790!
I have a body of work done by Edward P. Cannon of Poplar Bluff, Missouri
dated 1977 called "The Cannons 'with their deep roots and tangled branches.'
"
I found this information in the Augusta, Ga. Genealogical Library and
prevailed upon the docent there to help me xerox it. This work is a
compilation of several people's work. I am willing to do "look ups" on a
first come, first serve basis and strictly on my own schedule.
Those of you close enough to Augusta to get by there and look up the work for
yourselves, should. It is well worth your time, although I must admit it
hasn't put me any closer to breaking through the time barrier with my family.
Please email me at my address rather than clogging the rootsweb site. BTW,
where can I find the Clarence Cannon work mentioned of late on the roll call?
Sincerely, Linda Cannon McCollum
