I'll jump in and say that I'm looking for the same parents' info; a brother
of William, John, was my great-great grandfather. I've been searching a
long time, too, for the parents of Thomas (I call him the first for there
are Thomas Cannons, descendants of him) Cannon. Virginia

Do you know of any connection of your CANNONS in N C to mine that were
Thomas CANNON who was married in Washington Co., VA1806 and moved to
Overton
Co., TN and remained there until death in 24 Oct. 1863. He had a son
William
CANNON b 7 Dec 1818 in Overton Co., TN and d there18 April 1909, that
is
of
my line. His daughter Martha CANNON m Reuben Jefferson FINLEY there
in TN,
also died there and buried in the Paran, Methodist Church Cemetery there.
I need Thomas CANNONS parents!
Wilma
