Subject: [CANNON] Henry Cannon/Margaret Botts - Abbeville County, SC
I am looking for information on the descendants, if any, of Henry
Cannon
(1809-1875) and Margaret E. Botts (1820-1898). My records show the
following
children:
1. David Cannon
2. Martha Ella Cannon
3. William Thomas Cannon
4. Mary Elizabeth Cannon (October 18, 1849 - October 12, 1920)
5. Lucy A. Cannon (1851-)
6. John W. Cannon (1852-)
7. Sarah A. Cannon (1855-)
8. Nancy Penny Cannon (1856 - December 1893)
9. Henry Bascom Cannon (1862 - 1925), married Ida Botts, his first
cousin
10. George Pierce Cannon (November 29, 1863 - August 25, 1909)
I have photographs of the tombstones of Margaret Botts Cannon, Henry
Cannon,
Mary Elizabeth Cannon, Nancy Penny Cannon, and George Pierce Cannon.
There
is only one marker for William Thomas, David R., and Martha Ella
Cannon.
I
am assuming that they all died as children.
These tombstones are all found in the Gilgal United Methodist Church
cemetery, near Due West, Abbeville County, South Carolina.
Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.
