Douglas,
Who is Eldred C. CANNON? He got a land grant in Tallapoosa county
the same day Everett did - March 1, 1858. I had figured they were
twins, but had wondered what if any kin they were to my g2gparents
whom I am researching from that area.
Wiley Jackson CANNON, gunsmith, b.18 Feb 1817, NC, d. 1891, Ashland,
Clay County, AL, m. Harriet Elizabeth BROWNING, b: 1828 in GA, and d:
May.30.1878 in Jackson's Gap, Tallapoosa county, AL. They married in
Muscogee County, GA, in 1859. Their known children, b. in
Chattahoochee county, GA, were Elizabeth Jane, b: 1861, Eliza M., b:
1865, Wiley Andrew Jackson, b: 1868, and Martha C., b: 1871.
I can find no clues as to parents for Harriet.
