Joyce, perhaps we could save time and effort on your part......are you
really familiar with the contents of the book? If so, you might be able to tell
if there is anything that might pertain to my line of research.
I have a John CANNON b. circa 1760, where?? but he was in SC for the births
of 4 children....Israel, Jemima, Perryman, and Naomi. Early researchers say
he was in Pendleton Dist. just prior to moving on to KY, but undocumented.
He shows up in the 1810 Crittenden Co., census (later became Caldwell Co.,
KY). In 1819 he married Rachel WOOTEN, sold his land to son, Israel in 1824
and disappears off the planet!!
I have the history on Israel, and Perryman....both stayed in Caldwell Co.,
Israel d. 1835 and Perryman was killed in the Civil War. Jemima moved to ILL
after her marriage. I have marriage record of Naomi, but no info on what
happened to her.
If any of these persons are even "hinted" at in the book, let me know and
we'll make further arrangements for me to get the info.
Again, much thanks for all your efforts on this.
Janice (Cannon)
