Katherine,
I have viewed the book on this Cannon branch in the Scott County Library in Georgetown, KY
and seen the records in the U.S. Census. Newton Cannon's home was once on one of the
McMillen farms just outside Georgetown, KY. Not sure it still is standing. It is an
interesting travel exploit to travel from southern DE in circa 1793-94 to central KY. My
family is from the Northwest Fork Hundred of western Sussex County, DE.

I am tracing back from my Newton Cannon. His father was George Cannon, his
mother was Jenny Coshow, and his wife was Frances Wilson. I am looking for
leads in Virginia for before George Cannon now. I do know that he was born
in Virginia in 1770 and died in 1836 in Kentucky.
Do you think that your Newton Cannon could be George's son? I appreciate
your input.
