Hi,
My great grandfather was Thomas Cannon, married to Anna Reinhardt. They were married
sometime before 1895, when their first son, William, was born. They had a daughter,
Gertrude, and two more sons, John and Anthony (my grandfather). I lose Thomas after 1900
and by 1910 his wife lists herself as a widow on the Census. My family doesn't know
much about him. I'm not sure if he died or divorced, for some reason I got the
impression he wasn't bery good to his family. They lived in St. Anne's parish in
Philadelphia. Anna's family was very upset when she married Thomas, as he was
Catholic and she was not.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Thank you in advance for any info or suggestions you might have. Have a nice weekend,
Liz

Carol,
I am researching Cannons of the Northwest Fork Hundred of western Sussex
County, DE and those along the border as well in eastern Dorchester County,
MD.
I am fortunate to have two Cannon lines to pursue since Bartholomew M.
Cannon
married Margaret A. Cannon. Bartholomew's branch moved to Philadelphia circa
1894 during the Panic of 1893. I was later born years later in Philadelphia
but
later moved to Emmaus, PA where I grew up from age 5 onward. Attached
is an Excel spreadsheet of my information for Cannons. I also have a family
Bible from Cannons as well as digital shots of a Cannon photo album that is
pre-1900.
