Did you look in NE Georgia? I do research on Streetmans & related families in Madison
Co. and neighboring counties in GA around 1800--his name rings a bell. My Cannons came to
LA later, but the Cannon name jumps out at me due to them.

Subject: [CANNON] SC Cannons
Hi listers, I have a John CANNON who had kids in SC during the late 1790s, then removed to
western KY. He married Rachel WOOTEN and then disappeared. I have always
"assumed" that he came over prior to the Rev War, and fought in that war, but
died before he could collect his pension...he is not listed in the pension records.
I am now wondering if he came to this country just after the Rev War and immediately
started moving west...he is in Pendleton Co., SC census.
Has anyone ever discovered their lines coming over right after the war?? Anyone found
ship's passenger lists for that time period??
"Leave no stone unturned".....or in this case, follow every possibility....
thanks,
Janice (CANNON)
