Hello, all :)
I am trying to proove or disproove a couple on online comments about the
line of
John CANNON,
b. c1642 in England or Hanover County, Virginia Colony, and who later
married Hester (or Esther)
PLEDGE.
(1) I have read online the the name CANNON may have been Hebrew, deriving
from the
name
"Cainan".
(2) I have also read this line of CANNON may have some native-american
roots. How
accurate is
this story?
In search of the answers to these questions, I would like to know: when
was the
first CANNON
recorded in Hanover County? And - possibly - when did they come to
that
part of Virginia, and
from where?
Thank you for your time and any help given :)
