Subject: [CANNON] RW vet?
My 4x grandfather....John CANNON was in SC up until 1805. He removed
to
Caldwell Co., KY....in 1824 he sells his land to his son Israel CANNON and
disappears.
When I look at my ancestral tree chart I have 3 RW Vets (not CANNON
surname) and my John is right there on the same parallel line as the
others. By systematic calculations he could/should have been b. circa
1760, and would have most likely fought in the RW. Since he disappeared
before claiming pension in 1832 I have no way of proving his military
service.
Anyone got any ideas?...he's been our brickwall for many years. We can't
connect him to the Cannon's Creek line, because that John's LWT doesn't
fit.
thanks and best regards,
Janice (Cannon)
