Bev and Sally,
My information shows:
Ephraim Cannon,
b. 1737 in Charleston, SC,
d. Dec. 11, 1802 in Pomaria, Newberry, SC.
He married Eleanor Caldwel Ulmer.
One of their children was:
David Cannon,
b. Mar. 26, 1759 Newberry Co., SC,
d. Mar 26, 1826 Pomaria, Newberry, SC,
He married Nancy Johnson,
b. 1766 Newberry Co., SC,
d. Jan 3, 1825 Pomaria, Newberry, SC
One of their children was:
William Cannon,
b. 1787, Newberry Co., SC,
d. Oct 17, 1815, Pomaria, Newberry, SC,
He married 1808 Elizabeth Ruff,
b. 1792 SC
They had at least, the following children:
Elizabeth, Henry, William, Mary Ann, Nancy, David R. Cannon.
My husband's Cannon line comes from David R. Cannon, who left SC, with his
fiancé Martha Peaster (eloped, as her family planned for her to marry
someone else) and they went to relatives in MS. About 1838 they relocated
to Shelby Co., TX area.
