Kathy,
Yes we have talked in the past. We lived in Georgetown, KY for ten years
and the Scott County Library has a loosely bound volume that talks about
Newton Cannon and shows photos from the 1960's or 1970's his former home was
located on the Mcmillan farm just outside of town. Back during our days in
KY is when you and I had emailed when I worked at a college in Georgetown.
Never went to locate his house but it may be gone now. Back in the 60's or
70's the house was used to store farm equipment. So are all the first names
of the Cannons you mentioned traced back to Sussex County, DE or further
south in Maryland?

Tom,I think we corresponded years ago. At that time and still am
investigating Newton Cannon although not as vigorously. I think Minos and
Tubman and Henry and Waitman are related somehow, but to prove it is
difficult.Do you know who the father of any of them is? I know Henry's
father was James of Northwest Fork who bought land in 1688.Tom I will get
back to you. Right now I am on extended vacation with family and return
home, and my files, the first week in March.Have you tried Google Books? It
requires patience, but the search can be rewarding. I also found Newton,
son of Henry and Francis Cannon, in PA Archives which I never could have
done otherwise.Talk to you later.Kathy
