Don,
I,m going to post this to the list in case it hits a cord with anyone. Here
is what I have on my line. I haven't done much on this yet. Some of the
material came from an ADAMS researcher.
1761 Will filed for Roger ADAMS in Caroline Co MD mentions daughter Sterling
and others.
1766 A follow up on the will of Roger ADAMS is filed in Sussex Co DE names
daughter Sterling CANNON wife of Constantine CANNON.
1773 Roger ADAMS and wife Nelly, Constantine CANNON and wife Sterling sell
land called Good Luck patented to Roger ADAMS father of Roger and Sterling.
1777 Schart's History of DE. Roger ADAMS son of Roger ADAMS sell land to
Constantine CANNON
1777 Will of Constantine CANNON is filed in Sussex Co DE. I have not see the
will and don't know all the contents but it mentions at least two daughters.
Charlotte and Sterling .
My line is from daughter Charlotte CANNON b 4 Nov 1769 Sussex Co DE d 6 July
1836 Marian Co MO m 14 May 1786 William WHITE. Sister Sterling CANNON m
Baynard WHITE brother to William. Sterling and Baynard WHITE also moved to
Marian Co MO and then to Lewis Co Mo.
That about covers what I have. I have more on the WHITEs and BAYNARDs and a
good bit on the decendent of William WHITE and Charlotte CANNON and will
share if there is any interest.

I am a native Houstonian who left there
in 1957. There are two CANNON lines
who settled there, from Georgia in the
1920s/early 30s. Both lines are kin since
the G mothers were SIMMONS sisters.
They were Belle and Ruth CANNON nee'
SIMMONS. If any of them are on line or
if anyone on this lists knows of any of
them, I would love to hear from them.
Thanks

please e-mail me. I am searching for more information on
the ADAMS family which you have researched.

hi marsha just tried to call you about the boutique over here at Terra Vista. I went to it today and of course found some goodies to buy. This time it was pretty good. At Many Fine Things tonight they are having 25% off on certain items. Tell Marianne if she doesn't know already.
A search of naturalization papers found a Mary Cannon naturalized in
Dec. 1929, living at the time on Meadowbrook St., Paterson, NJ. She
listed her birthplace as Kenaughty, Ireland. I checked two geography
sites and cannot find this place. Is the spelling incorrect? Anybody
know of this place?

Does anyone have records regarding the marriage of a Francis Cannon in the
late 1700's?
In Edward Newton Jr's. will of 1762 he mentions a daughter Francis Cannon.
Would like to know which Cannon she married.
I do not believe this is the same Francis who married Henry Cannon (b.1704)
of DE. It is generally accepted that Henry's wife was Edwards sister.
Edward was from Dorchester, MD
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Kathy

Mornin' Cannon researchers!
I just recently discovered my Cannon ancestry, so immediately joined this
list. So, here is what I have learned:
My great X 6 grandmother Jane Cannon, born c. 1696 in Bath? Co., NC, married
William Cason c. 1721 in Beaufort Co., NC. She died c. 1755 in Beaufort.
Jane's parents were Edward Cannon, Jr., born c. 1657 Lower Norfolk Co., VA,
who married Sarah Dolley c. 1699. Edward died in Bath Co. in 1729.
It appears that Edward's father, Edward Sr., (c. 1625-) was the immigrant
Cannon
I would love to hear from anyone working on these early Cannons so that I
connect with other Cannon researchers.
Later, cousins!
Leigh Blount
