Some of you were having problems accessing the webpage I posted
earlier. Here is the main page url:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~paluzern/index2.htm

Here is a url for Irish Surnames Locations in Ireland. If you are wondering
where you might find your surname this page might have the answer.

Dear Paul,
I have been given the research notes from a cousin, Arthur Cannon, who was
writing a book about his family in the 1960s. I do not know if he ever wrote
his book, in fact, I do not know if he is even still alive. (He had
communicated with my great aunts in MS) Anyway, according to his notes,
Nathaniel Cannon is my 4th Great Grandfather. Here is some of what I have ...
would be interested in what you have. At this point I am not sure if it is
the same Nathaniel Cannon you speak of, or if there were two of them. My
Nathaniel went to Caldwell Co., KY for a while, Birth date is the same and his
wife was Frances.

Seek info on William Cannon family of Virginia. Two children known to
me. 1) Lt. John Cannon, a Revolutionary War soldier, and 2) Prudence
Cannon who married Leroy "Lee" Meador. Leroy and Prudence lived in
Bedford and Franklin Counties. Prudence died in 1840 in Bedford Co. I
believe there were other daughters. I would appreciate any help with
this family.
Hi to all,
Anyone out there have any interest in the Cannon's from Essex,UK.
I've lost mine, they disappeared in the mid 1800's.
All the best from

Subject: Cannon - from Ireland to Canada in 1858 and descendants
My ancestor William Cannon and his wife Charlotte Eliza Ford migrated to
Canada in 1858. I have substantial information on many of thier descendants.
I am missing information on the descendants of David Cannon who may have
been born in Rochester NY. and who were raised for a time in Kingston. Their
names are William (who died in Portland Ore); George; John (JD) (who may
have attended the Sorbonne) and Mary who married an M.B. Lambert.
Additionally, I seek information on the children of George Cannon (b 1853 in
Ireland) who married Martha and had children Mildred, Don (born 1879), Ben,
Harry, Florence (b 1874) and Beatrice. Martha and Mildred Cannon lived in
OakPark illinois in 1900.

Hello Listmates -
I'd like to hear from anyone with any information on the origins or family of
my g4xgrandfather Nathaniel Cannon, b abt 1763 in South Carolina. He was a
soldier in the SC forces during Gen Lincoln's campaign against the British in
SC under Gen Prevost in 1779. He married Frances Sumner in Burke County,
Georgia around 1790, and died in Wilkinson County, Georgia in 1844. His
Revolutionary War pension file dated 1832 describes his birth in SC but gives
no other clues about his family.
Any clues would be appreciated.

Janice and group,
Yes, I would like to have Bill Cheatham on our list. He is the one
who gave me all the information that I have on the Cheatham family. I
think that I asked him if he would like to join the list, and never got
an answer. I will ask him again as soon as I finish this message.
By the way, my e-mail messages is all messed up. My computer just
took a crash, and it is not the hard drive this time. I think that is
the main chip (CPU). I am getting a new Mother board and CPU chip and
all the goodies that go with it. My son will get it back to gather in
about 2 weeks. I am now using my wife's computer, but all my old
messages is on my computer. Please be nice to me if I mess up.
I am also trying to get my records correct. I merged about 12,000
on my Putnam list into my main data base, and came up with 26,000 +
source ref. to the merge plus dup. references. What a mess. I am now
down to about 20,000 and it sure is slow.
Will write Bill Cheatham now and them get back to the mess.
Richard

My search is threefold.
1. I am looking for the parents/siblings of Newton (B.1761) and Betsy
(JUETT)CANNON who moved from Delaware to Kentucky around 1792.
2. I am looking for the children of Willis, Clement(b. abt 1740),
Newton (b.abt.1729), Wate(r)man(B.abt 1736) and Charles (b.abt 1730),
all of whom are the children of Henry (b. 1704) and Francis (NEWTON)
CANNON of Sussex Co. DE.
3. I am also searching for the children of a Newton and Elizabeth
(KNOWLTON)CANNON who were married in Newbury, Mass. in 1761. Believe
this Newton may be the son of Henry (1704) and possibly the grandfather
of Newton and Betsy CANNON, but still need proof.
If anyone has any information on the above families, I would appreciate
hearing from you.
Thank you and good luck in your own search.
Kathy
