I'd like to clarify something related to my earlier post of the same subject.
Based on the information available (to me) at this time, John Keny d. 1693 Milton, MA,
does not appear to be a direct descendant of Henry of Salem, MA. He may have been
relatively close to the age of Henry's son John, but the two Johns have different
wives and children and are not identical. Hence, the recent Y-DNA match (assuming all
genealogies presented are correct) is an interesting breakthrough for at least two MA
"Kinney" lines. Heretofore, there was no evidence showing any relationship
between these two lines.
We have upgraded our recent participant's test to 67 markers - don't know if that
will add anything more to the mix - but we'll see.
