I found several marriages and more children. Also they lived in Morgan County and
Sangamon County, as well as in Virden, MacOupin County, Illinois.
I did not take time to prove any of this. Much is from Ancestry (census and military
records) and
http://www.ilsos.gov/GenealogyMWeb/marrsrch.html
(marriage records)
Mary Oldroyd married Canham in 18 Feb 1863 in Morgan County.
PS: If the Canhams would share online, we could all profit from one another. I have
another line going through Illinois and there are several of us back to 1590's. My
Canhams lay dormant. Just a suggestion.
I hope some of this was helpful.

I'm interested in finding out any information I can on my maternal great
grandfather:
CANHAM, William E. (23 Feb 1881 - 10 Apr 1954) and his wife
CANHAM, Fannie J. (19 Jan 1888 - 3 Jan 1949)
both buried in VIRDEN CEMETERY, MACOUPIN COUNTY, ILLINOIS
Their daughter, Mildred Irene Canham (1910 - 1991) was my maternal gra
ndmother.
Thank you,
