Hi David,
My family has been really hard to find. We called my dad Roy all of his
life, and then found out at the time of his death his name was actually
Robert Raymond Canfield. Unfortunately, he never learned to read or write
as he was put to work on the farm as a youngster. He never talked much
about his family, he did tell us his mother's name was Susan. We found a
Susan Hetherington, however, on the document we found at the family history
centre..it doesn't look like Hetherington?
We can't find a marriage for Susan and Nolan, but maybe I should start
looking for Stuart Canfield?
Any information would be greatly appeciated. Mom Jean Grant (record shows
Jean Taylor?)and dad were married in Calgary. Dad worked on the Sealock
farm. Mom's aunt Belle married Justus Sealock.
We moved to Victoria in 1960 from Calgary. My mom's family is going to be
more difficult, as her dad's name was Richard Grant and her mom's family are
Duncan's. Both families are from Scotland.
Any information would be greatly appeciated.
Thanks,
Bert
