I just found two Canfields by accident when I researched through Los Angeles Times and
Long Beach(CA) newspapers. I thought I should share two names with you if you are related
to them. They are not on my line.

Canfield--Miss Helen Ann Canfield, 73 of 1731 E. Third St. died August 16 at a local
hospital. A native of Orangeville, PA., she came to Long Beach six years ago from
Cleveland,Ohio.
Miss Canfield was a telegraph operator for 51 years with the Nickel Plate Railroad,
Cleveland and she belonged to the Retired Railroad Employes organization, and the Morse
Telegraph Association. She was a charter member of the Railroad Telegraphers Association.
In Cleveland she belonged to the Rebekahs, the Maccabees, the daughters of Union Veterans
and the First Congressional Church. She was a member of the Women's Benefit
Association and the Gleaners' Club here.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Edith D. Arnold and Mrs. Lizzie L. Jenks, both of Long
Beach.
Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Dilday Mortuary.
