I have not been able to hook up with anyone beyond my gr grandparents,
I have trees of other Canfields, but no connection to them. Here's
what I know:
My Canfields
Catherine Mansfield, dob 1853, dod 3/22/19, born in Dungarvin County
Waterford, Ireland. Came to US at age 5. Married
Jeremiah Canfield, lived around 125th st. in NYC. Worked is his family
came form Ireland via England.
There Canfield children were:
James - dod 6/25/05, age 20
Mary (May) md. James Hannelberry or Hanneberry, dod 9/21/12, age 28
Eugene Thomas dob 10/29/89, dod 9/30/67 (my grandfather) raised around
125th st. Manhattan
1/30/16 md. At St. Monica's Church, E. 79th St., Manhattan to
Albena Rivers dob 2/13/1890, dod 9/6/61, French Canadian heritage, born
in NYC, raised in Yorkville area, 86th St, Manhattan.
They had 4 children:
Eugene dob 1917, dod 8/1921 died of a blood infection from cut on leg
John (called Jack) dob 9/16/24, dod 9/17/57, GM of LOOk Magazine, died
when given the wrong kind of blood in Manhattan Hospital, (my father)
William, dob 7/3/26, dod 9/30/84 died from cancer
Mary, dob, 10/2/29, living, md. John Gillette, deceased, had 3 children,
living
John had 9 children, 6 boys, 3 girls, all living: Eugene, Jeramiah,
William, Virginia, John, Nancy (me), Helen, David
Bill had 9 children, 6 girls, 3 boys, 2 deceased: Wm. (dec.), Barbara,
Pam (dec), Patricia, Debra, Scott, Kelly, Jacquie, Philip
I don't know how these Canfields plug in anywhere else.
I found the following burials in Nyack NY.

Clarkstown Bicentiennial Commission. Out of reprint, originals
