Rita.. you are so fortunate to have that book.. by Frederick Canfield
Would you look to see if there is a George M Canfield born around
7/11/1894. It says on the 1920 census that he was born in MI... and his
mother and father which we do not have their names.. were born in NY.
He moved into SD in 1920 single without leaving any information about his
family before he died in 1939 in Wagner , SD..
People from the area have assumed for some reason that he had worked on
the railroads previous to moving to SD... but that could possibly be a
"family tale". Also we have the middle name as Morris...
I sure would appreciate your time and efforts...
Sincerely, PJ Canfield

I have the book "A History of Thomas Canfield and of Matthew
Camfield with
a
Genealogy of their Descendants in New Jersey", compiled by
Frederick A.
Canfield, Dover, NJ, 1897. Will be happy to do lookups. I found my
family
in this book. It overlapped info I had from my cousin in Topeka,
Kansas
by
two generations. It seems to be well done.
